The Future Beetle is a species of aggressive carnivorous beetle hailing from the Future. They are very hard to kill and are capable of chewing through anything in a matter of seconds.

A swarm of Future Beetles exited through an anomaly after it had opened in the lemur enclosure of a small zoo and quickly killed the all of the lemurs in the enclosure. They were then joined by their queen and using their strong jaws, they chewed their way out of the lemur enclosure.
The Future Beetles attack the zoo worker.
Later, Connor and Matt encounter the Future Beetles, after hearing a loud scream, as they swarm and kill a zoo worker. As the swarm devour the worker's body, some of the beetles turn their sights onto the two men, prompting them to shoot at the oncoming beetles. They miraculously killed all of the beetles and the beetles would later be toss back through the anomaly alongside the corpse of a Giant Burrowing Insect.
