Episode 8.11 is the eleventh episode of the eighth and final season of Primeval.

Synopsis[]

While on a secret reconnaissance mission with Evan and Dylan, Claudia defies orders and tries to look for the kidnapped children, unaware that she is walking into a trap. Meanwhile, Lester must decide whether or not to trust the third Matt, after he informs him about the trap.

Plot[]

At the Firm's base, several Firm-affiliated mercenaries move the children and the larger creatures into trucks, intending the ship them off to their new base. As the kids are being loaded onto one of the trucks, Lucien tries to hijack the truck. However, he is quickly tased by Elizabeth and after scoffing at his attempt at escape, she has the guards throw Lucien into the trucks with the others before heading back inside. Inside, she meets with the Minister and the second Matt and tells them that the kids are all accounted for and they're ready to move out. The second Matt nods and has her and the Minister go with the convoy to the new base while he stays behind and oversees the surprise he's going to give to the A.R.C once they invade the warehouse.

Meanwhile, at the A.R.C, Matt and Emily tell the others what they had learned from the letter the third Matt had given Matt the previous episode. However, when they show said-letter, Danny notices a string of numbers and points it out. After reading the number sequence out loud, the team realizes that its coordinates for two unknown locations. Jess quickly runs to the anomaly detector and types in the coordinates, and moments later, the detector zeroes in on the Firm's current base and an unfamiliar abandoned warehouse. Deducing that the latter might be the Firm's new base, as Michael and Jenny only recognize the first warehouse, Lester orders that nobody is to go to the new warehouse until a Special Forces team has thoroughly searched the place and secured it. Matt, however, argues back, pointing out that the Firm can and probably will use the kidnapped children as hostages, along with the creatures. Lester tells him that he knows, but that he can't let scientists and civilians take over the role of law enforcement, pointing out that they would be ill-equipped for a full-on attack and easier targets for capture. In addition, Lester reveals that he already has charges set against the second Matt, Elizabeth, the Minister and Ethan/Patrick for kidnapping, espionage, treason, and attempted terrorism. Knowing that he's fighting a losing argument, Matt concedes, but as everyone is dismissed and heading back to their respective offices, Evan and Dylan pull Matt aside, asking him if there is any other way to rescue the children without defying Lester's orders. Matt, however, is unsure, but he remembers that Lester never said anything about reconnaissance and assigns Evan and Dylan with the task. However, Claudia overhears this and asks to be a part of the mission, too, after explaining what had happened to several children a similar organization in her timeline had kidnapped (aka, some of them died). Matt, trusting Claudia's word, agrees and the trio is sent to the Firm's second base to monitor their movements.

Meanwhile, at the Firm's new base, the children are shoved into a room that will serve as their new cell. As the children promise the Firm that the A.R.C team will find them and put a stop to the Firm, Elizabeth enters the room and points out that the A.R.C has no idea where they all are, and that only the Firm knows the location of this warehouse. She then gloats about the Firm's inevitable victory over the A.R.C before pulling out the third Matt's anomaly opening device. She then asks the kids if they know what the device she is holding is as she walks to the adjacent room before opening an anomaly. The kids crowd around the window in the wall and watch the anomaly open in bewilderment before Elizabeth returns and tells them that this will teach them who has the real power before leaving. Before anyone can argue back, a Future Predator exits the anomaly, horrifying the children with its ugliness. As the children back away to the farthest side of their cell, the Future Predator "sees" them and tries to break through the window. However, to the older children's relief, the window is made of reinforced glass, meaning that the Predator can't get to them (for now). As the Predator frustratingly tries to get to the children, the older children try their best to comfort the younger children, who are frightened by the Predator's growls.

Meanwhile, at the A.R.C, Connor enters his lab, after visiting Abby, and finds the third Matt waiting for him. Thinking that it's the real Matt, Connor casually sparks up a conversation with the third Matt before the real Matt enters. Matt asks the third Matt how he got through security, to which the third Matt ignores and informs Matt that Evan, Dylan, and Claudia are in danger and that they are walking into a trap. Matt is hesitant about informing Lester since the assignment was supposed to be a secret, but after some convincing, Matt relents and the three head to Lester's office to inform him of the news.

Meanwhile, Evan, Dylan, and Claudia have arrived at the Firm's base, but once Evan parks the SUV for a stakeout, Claudia grabs her EMD and exits the car. Confused, Evan and Dylan chase after Claudia as she heads towards the Firm's old base, trying to talk sense into her. As the two Canadians argue with Claudia, a guard spots them and reports it to the second Matt, who orders him not to trigger the alarm. Dylan then spots the guard and knocks him out with her EMD, but with their cover now blown, the trio argues amongst themselves as they figure out their next course of action. However, Claudia, who is deeply traumatized by the deaths of several children in her timeline, splits away from Evan and Dylan, intending to rescue the children with or without them. As Claudia enters the Firm's warehouse, Evan and Dylan return to the SUV to report what had happened to Matt.

Meanwhile, at the A.R.C, Lester scolds Matt for sending Evan, Dylan, and Claudia on an unauthorized mission, but to Matt's defence, he ordered them to monitor the Firm's activities, and thus, hadn't disobeyed Lester's orders. However, at that moment, Matt gets a phone call from Evan, who tells him about Claudia disobeying orders. Matt, through his frustration, tells Evan that he'll figure something out and to stay where he is before hanging up. The third Matt then points out that Claudia is in serious danger and that she's walking into a trap. However, Lester, who still adamant about sending the A.R.C team to go after the Firm, tells him that even if Claudia is walking into a trap, his orders are still in effect and that he will be sending four Special Forces team to the warehouse in an hour's time, much to the third Matt's frustration. The third Matt tells Lester to speed up the process or Claudia could end up as the Firm's bargaining chip.

Meanwhile, at the Firm's old base, Claudia stalks through the dark, deserted hallways of the warehouse, taking out any guard she sees before coming across the room acting as the children's cell. However, upon entering it, she finds no one and deduces that the Firm had already moved them. She then decides to go check Professor Windsor's lab, and using her memory, she is able to locate the operating theatre. When she arrives, she hears a chirp coming from behind the door. Confused, she opens the door and is horrified when she finds a slowly dying Rex on the operating table. However, before she can do anything, a guard ambushes her and covers a chloroform-laced rag over her face, knocking her out. Professor Windsor cackles as he mocks Claudia's valiant rescue attempt before ordering the soldier to load her into the boot of his car. As the guard drags Claudia away, Professor Windsor puts Rex into a cage before ordering another guard to move the operating table onto the last truck. As the guard deals with the operating table, Professor Windsor heads out with Rex to his car.

Back at the A.R.C, Lester gets permission from the Prime Minister to send the Special Forces unit and the A.R.C team in to stop the Firm. Since Lester will personally announce the charges to the wanted members of the Firm, he leaves the A.R.C in the hands of Jess, telling her to give the new hire, Sherice, a rundown of the A.R.C's operation and a tour of the A.R.C before him, the A.R.C team, and the third Matt head for the Firm's new base. As they rush down there to meet up with the Special Forces unit, Matt tells Evan and Dylan to meet them there, to which they oblige.

Meanwhile, at the Firm's new base, Claudia wakes up to the sight of Ben, Taylor, and Jake, who were trying to wake her up. After getting back to her senses, Claudia asks the children if they are alright, but to her horror, all of them tell her that Professor Windsor had been experimenting on them. Suddenly, a loud thud catches their attention as they turn to the window to see the Future Predator from earlier, now joined by another Predator, attempting to break through the window again. After calming the younger kids and a surprised Claudia down, Lucien explains how Elizabeth had opened the anomaly behind the Predators and how they had been trying to get to them for almost two hours now. Knowing that they need to escape before the Predators break through the window (from her prior experience), Claudia devises a plan that requires them to get the guards' attention. After telling the kids their plans, they pretend that one of the children had fallen ill, causing the guards the rush in the check on them. However, they soon realize that it's just a distraction and are overwhelmed by Claudia and the kids. Claudia is forced to kill one of the guards after he attempts to shoot one of the kids before she and the kids take the guards' weapons, keys, and keycards and make their escape.

Meanwhile, at the A.R.C, Jess gives the new hire, Sherice, a tour of the A.R.C, but as she is about to wrap up the tour and give Sherice her armband, the anomaly detector's alarms go off, prompting her to rush back to her station. Upon reaching her station, she locates the anomaly to an abandoned room at a hospital. However, when she pulls up the CCTV feed, she is horrified to see several Future Predators exiting the anomaly and quickly calls the team.

Meanwhile, with the A.R.C team, they have just encountered the Special Forces unit and are now rushing toward the Firm's new base when they get Jess's call. She quickly informs them about the active anomaly at the hospital and adds that several Future Predators have already exited from the anomaly. Matt asks her where the anomaly is and she directs him to a hospital. Matt, knowing that dealing with the anomaly is more important than invading the Firm's base, calls Evan and sends him, Dylan, and one of the Special Forces team ahead to the Firm's base while everyone else heads down to the hospital to deal with the anomaly. Evan agrees and after hanging up, the A.R.C team rushes down to the hospital. Once they arrive, Becker, Jenny, Michael, Danny, Sarah, Lester, and Ryan are tasked with evacuating the hospital while the rest of the A.R.C team try to locate the anomaly. However, getting to the anomaly is a harder challenge, as the team seemingly encounters a Future Predator at every turn. Darren, Jack, Caroline, and Kieran are the first to arrive at the anomaly, but as Darren tries to lock it, a trio of Future Predators attack them. While two of the predators are quickly gunned down, the remaining Predator attacks and pins Darren to the ground, but before it can rip his throat out, Kierran kills it with his EMD. As Caroline checks up on Darren, Jack locks the anomaly. With the anomaly now locked, they stand guard and wait for the all-clear signal from Matt.

Meanwhile, at the Firm's new base, Claudia peeks around a corner before motioning Lisa, Luke, Sasha, and Taylor to follow her. As they sneak down the hall, Lisa asks if splitting up was a good idea, to which Claudia tells her that it's the only way if they don't want the Firm to capture all of them at the same time. They continue to sneak down the hall, but a crash, followed by the growls of Future Predator, scares them and prompts Claudia to herd the four children into an unused room. They stay as silent as possible as one of the Future Predators passes their position before Claudia decides to check if the coast is clear. Before she heads out, however, she tells the kids to stay put, but if she doesn't return in five minutes, they must move on without her. Lisa, Luke, Sasha, and Taylor reluctantly agree before Claudia sneaks outside and checks if the coast is clear. However, as she is checking the immediate vicinity, the Minister, Elizabeth, and two Firm-affiliated mercenaries appear behind her and immediately apprehend her. Elizabeth demands where the children are, but Claudia keeps her lips sealed. Unable to get information out of her, Elizabeth orders the mercenaries to take Claudia to Professor Windsor's lab, as he needs her for his experiment, and that it could be an opportunity to torture information out of her. Claudia is horrified but says nothing as she is dragged away. As Claudia is being dragged away, Dan, Ben, Jake, and Tiffany are sneaking down another hallway when the Predator from moments earlier appear. The trio quickly runs to and hides in a storage room, with the Future Predator hot on their tail, and with a bit of teamwork, they outsmart the Predator and lock it inside the room before spotting Claudia getting dragged away. Knowing that she is being dragged away to be experimented on, they silently follow Claudia and the mercenaries. However, little do they know, the Predator they had just locked in the storage room had managed to escape and is now stalking them.

Meanwhile, outside, Evan, Dylan, and the first Special Forces team arrive and park just across the loading bay, as it has the least amount of security. The four mercenaries guarding the place are quickly taken out by the Special Forces team before they, along with Evan and Dylan, head inside to secure the loading bay. There, they find several of the small and mid-sized Menagerie creatures, all of whom Professor Windsor had experimented on (but they don't know that, yet.) before Dylan finds a dying Rex. Evan also finds Sid and Nancy in a similar condition and orders the team leader of the Special Forces unit to call Matt. In the meantime, Evan and Dylan try to save Rex, Sid, and Nancy, but without the right materials, Dylan begins to panic. However, Evan calms her down with a kiss and gives her a comforting pep talk, which gives her a much-needed confidence boost to figure out how to save the three beloved Premian pals. She then notices a box of IV fluids and quickly gets an idea.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, the A.R.C team eliminate the last of the Future Predators before rushing to the Firm's new base. Once they arrive, they go in through the loading bay, where they find Evan and Dylan injecting IV fluids into Rex, Sid, and Nancy. Abby, Jack, and Eve help them while Matt sends two of the Special Forces teams to secure the perimeter before helping the rest of the team (and Lester) knock the T. rex out for transportation and lure the Columbian Mammoth onto one of the trucks. Once they had loaded the two creatures onto the trucks, they quickly send them back to the A.R.C before helping Evan, Dylan, Abby, Jack, and Eve treat the smaller creatures. Meanwhile, one of the Special Forces soldiers encounter Steve, Darren Fisher, Ellie, and Lucien, and quickly escorts them back to the loading bay. Once in the loading bay, the four kids' injuries are treated and Matt asks them for their testimonies. The four kids proceed to explain how they escaped, and how Elizabeth had opened an anomaly to the Future and inadvertently let loose several Future Predators. With this new info on hand, Matt orders all teams to stay extra careful and to kill any Predators they encounter.

Meanwhile, in Professor Windsor's Lab, Claudia is brought in and is greeted by Professor Windsor, who is excited to experiment on someone from an alternate timeline before ordering the mercenaries to tie Claudia down on the operating table. As the mercenaries follow their orders, Claudia tries to fight them but is quickly knocked out by Ethan/Patrick, who covers her face with a chloroform-tainted rag. Once she stops struggling, Professor Windsor asks Ethan to put the electrical headset he had invented on Claudia. Ethan/Patrick agrees, but as he puts it on Claudia's head, he asks Professor Windsor what the invention the headset is connected is for. Professor Windsor explains that the device was a creation based some research he did that resulted in him losing his previous job and ruining his reputation. Ethan/Patrick asks what this research is, to which Professor Windsor explains that the current timeline and the original timeline are slowly converging together and that if they were to merge, he theorizes that it will create a world-ending catastrophe that will wipe out humanity. Ethan/Patrick laughs at this theory but doesn't reject it, as their latest spy within the A.R.C has uncovered the Stonehenge mission report detailing Claudia and the universe-jumping anomaly, and stands back as Professor Windsor boots up the device and begins the warm-up phase. After starting up the warm-up phase, he proceeds to collect tissue and blood samples from Claudia, but little do they know, Dan, Ben, Jake, and Tiffany watch in a silent shock as they try to process what they just heard. However, they are forced to flee after hearing the Future Predator coming towards them.

Meanwhile, back at the A.R.C, Connor and Sarah experiment on the Artifact and the Anomaly Opening device, but they unknowingly open an anomaly in the A.R.C's car park until the detector alarm goes off. Meanwhile, in the main hub, Sherice, who was bringing some paperwork to another A.R.C employee, is surprised by the alarm and turns to the anomaly detector. However, she notices that Jess is gone, having gone to the bathroom a few minutes ago, and decides to check the anomaly's location. She is horrified to learn that the anomaly is located in the A.R.C's car park and quickly pulls up the CCTV as Sarah and Connor arrive at the main hub. After realizing where the anomaly is and that several Future Predators have come through, they quickly head back to Sarah's lab to retrieve the Anomaly Opening Device while Sherice orders some nearby Special Forces Soldiers to quickly deal with the anomaly.

Back at the Firm's new base, the team gets the last of the creatures into the trucks when Dan, Ben, Jake, and Tiffany arrives with the Future Predator not far behind them. The Predator is quickly killed by Kieran, Becker, and Ryan before the kids are checked up. As the medics check up on the four newcomers, Matt gets word from one of the Special Forces teams that they had located and locked the anomaly. Matt tells them to sweep the area for hostiles and Predators before Ben informs them of Claudia's whereabouts. Matt sends Becker, Ryan, Eve, and Evan ahead to secure the main control room, and sends Dylan, Darren, Kieran, and Jack back to the A.R.C with the children and the rest of the creatures before him, Emily, Abby, Danny, and Caroline head off to save Claudia. As everyone splits off into their respective groups, Lester sarcastically says he'll stay in the loading bay and help out. As Matt's team head off to Professor Windsor's lab, Becker's team head to the main control room. However, as they get closer to the main control room, a hidden camera catches them, unbeknownst to them. Elizabeth, who just so happens to be standing by the computer showing the CCTV feed, sees them on the feed and quickly sounds the alarm before escaping to her car with the Minister. Upon hearing the alarm sound, Becker spots the camera and curses before ordering his team to run to the control room.

Meanwhile, with Matt's team, they locate Professor Windsor's Lab, but with the number of guards in the room, they can't do anything at the moment other than watch Professor Windsor experiment on Claudia. As they silently watch the experiment unfold, Professor Windsor cackles as he rambles about the timelines no longer merging. The team is confused by this, but are soon snapped out of their confusion when the alarm goes off. Knowing that this is their chance, Matt enters the room and knocks out several guards with his EMD. Windsor, who had just shut down the device, is too stunned to do anything as he watches Matt's team knock out the rest of the guards and Ethan, who tried to grab Claudia. Matt then orders Windsor and the remaining guards to surrender, but to everyone's confusion, Windsor begins to cackle. Confused, Matt asks the disgraced professor what is funny, to which Professor Windsor reveals that the headset on Claudia's head also acts as electrodes commonly used in electric chairs, revealing that his device doubles as an electric chair. He then goes on to add that if they don't release Ethan, he will divert the energy generated by the experiment, which was meant to power the new base, into Claudia, which will kill her instantly. With no other options, Matt tells Danny to release Ethan, much to the latter's annoyance. With Ethan safe, Windsor and the remaining guards flee while Abby and Caroline help Claudia out of Windsor's crude electric chair.

Meanwhile, Becker's team arrive at the main control room, but once they enter, they find it abandoned, much to Becker's irritation. Evan quickly heads over to the computer and as he searches for incriminating documents, Eve and Ryan collect any paper documents they can find while Becker informs Matt of his team's whereabouts. Suddenly, the door opens, causing everyone to turn around and aim their EMDs at whoever is entering before it is revealed to be Luke, Sasha, Taylor, and an injured Lisa. After making sure that they're alright, Becker's team collect all of the incriminating documents that they can find before heading out to rendezvous with Matt's team. However, they encounter a Future Predator, but to their luck, one of the Special Forces teams kills it before escorting them back to the loading bay. There, they meet up with Matt's team, who explain what had happened on their end before Matt gets a call from Jess, who informs them that Predators have invaded the A.R.C again. Knowing how dangerous the Predators are, the team quickly heads back to the A.R.C.

Meanwhile, Dylan, Darren, Jack, Kieran, the rescued children, and their convoy arrive at the A.R.C, only to find it under lockdown. Confused, they find Jess and Sherice with the rest of the evacuated A.R.C. staff, and the two women fill them in on the situation. They tell them that Predators had entered the A.R.C, after Connor and Sarah accidentally opened an anomaly with the Artifact and Anomaly Opening Device, and that they and the Millers might be trapped inside, as they are nowhere to be seen. With this information, the team leaves the kids with Jess and Sherice, and begin to look for a way inside. As they search the entire perimeter of the A.R.C building for any unlocked entrances, Jack remembers a shortcut him and Abby had discovered some time ago and leads the team to a back door. There, they manage to break through the lockdown measures and enter the A.R.C, Sneaking into the A.R.C, they make their way inside the Menagerie before heading into Abby's lab. After getting through the door, they split up to look for Connor, Sarah, and the Millers. Kieran then locates them in Sarah's lab, hiding in the corner, and the team regroups. Knowing that they need to deal with the Predators before they escape the A.R.C, the team regroup and sneaks down to the armoury. Along the way, however, they encounter a Future Predator, but it is quickly killed by Darren. Once the team arrives to the armoury, they gear up and stock up on EMD power cells before splitting up. Dylan, Jack, Darren, and Michael sweep the A.R.C for the remaining Future Predators while Kieran, Connor, Sarah, and Jenny head down to the car park to lock the anomaly. Kieran's team eventually makes it to the anomaly site, and after making sure that the area is clear, Connor locks the anomaly. Elsewhere, Dylan's team is sweeping through the A.R.C for any sign of the Predators before locating them sleeping in a vacant lab that they had broken into. While observing them, Michael asks why the Predator that Kieran killed was the only one awake, to which Dylan tell him that it might have been a lookout before telling everyone to enter the room. With the Predators in such a vulnerable state, they have no problem neutralizing all of the Predators. Once the last Predator is killed, Dylan orders for another sweep through the A.R.C.

Meanwhile, at the Firm's second base, Ethan and Professor Windsor oversee the Firm grunts moving things back into the base while the second Matt, Elizabeth, and the Minister enter a hidden room that the second Matt only knew about. The room is furnished with many computers, servers, and several monitors. While Elizabeth and the Minister glance around the room, the second Matt boots up the computer and opens up a terminal. Elizabeth and the Minister curiously watch the second Matt type away before the latter asks him what he is doing. The second Matt proceeds to reveal that he plans on activating the A.R.C's auto-destruct system to destroy the A.R.C. Elizabeth asks how he's going to activate it, since the system had been removed since Philip's death. The second Matt, however, reveals that while the system itself has been removed, the base source code for the auto-destruct system still remain in the A.R.C's servers, according to their new spy within the A.R.C. He then finishes typing and proceeds to activate the A.R.C's auto-destruct system.

Back at the A.R.C, Lester and the rest of the team have return from the Firm's new base with some captured Firm grunts and all of the creatures have been returned to their enclosures. While things are settling down, Sarah and a Special Forces medic check up on the children in the medical bay and treat their wounds. Since Professor Windsor has been experimenting on them, Sarah tells them that they might have to stay in the A.R.C for the time being until they can be sure that nothing harmful will affect them in later down the line, and that their parents have already been informed. Suddenly, an alarm goes off, startling everyone before the intercom announces that the A.R.C will self-destruct in sixty seconds. Sarah quickly excuses herself as the medic scrambles to get the kids out of the A.R.C before making her way to the main hub, where she finds everyone standing around Connor as he tries to stop the self-destruct sequence from the anomaly detector. She asks them what is going on, and Jess explains how the A.R.C auto-destruct sequence suddenly started up while she was keeping an eye on the detector, even though it has long been removed after Philip's death. After trying to stop the self-destruct sequence with Philip's login credentials for the third time, Connor tells everyone that he is unable to override the auto-destruct sequence. Matt orders everyone to evacuate the A.R.C, but before they can escape, the third Matt appears behind them and suggests that maybe he could help. Connor allows the third Matt to have a go and trades spots with him. The third Matt then quickly pulls up a hacking terminal and begins the type away. As the countdown nears zero, Matt orders everyone to get out, but to everyone's relief, the third Matt quickly solves the issue and disables the auto-destruct system in time.

Later, once everything had settled down, Lester holds a meeting in his office. He asks how the auto-destruct system was still in the A.R.C's system, and who started it, to which the third Matt "theorizes" that the Firm was able to hack into the A.R.C servers and use the auto-destruct system's base source code to activate the auto-destruct sequence. Lester asks how that might be possible, given that the A.R.C has some of the toughest security measures in place, to which the third Matt "deduces" that there's another spy within the A.R.C. With this in mind, Lester tells everyone to be weary of anyone exhibiting suspicious behaviour before dismissing everyone. As everyone leaves, Lester begrudgingly thanks the third Matt for his help, which the third Matt acknowledges with a nod before allowing him to leave. As he walks out, Matt strikes up a conversation with the third Matt and thanks him for his help before asking him to inform him & the A.R.C of any Firm-related activities in the coming days. The third Matt agrees before leaving the A.R.C.

Meanwhile, at the Firm's old base, the second Matt is busy planning the final stages of the Firm's plan from the comfort of the now-not-so-secret room when he gets a phone call from the third Matt, who is sitting in a car parked a few blocks away from the A.R.C. The third Matt is livid that the second Matt had activated the A.R.C's auto-destruct system and chews him out for almost ruining their plan. The second Matt, however, argues back, telling the third Matt that by activating the A.R.C's auto-destruct system, they would have one less obstacle to deal with. As the argument gradually becomes more heated, the Minister asks Elizabeth if they should step in and intervene, to which she suggest that they not. They then hear the second Matt telling the third Matt off before hanging up on him and exiting the room. As he exits the room, he vents his frustrations about the third Matt to Elizabeth and the Minister, who do their best to console him. However, their words don't do much to appease the second Matt, who walks out to cool off for the time being.

Later that evening, at the A.R.C, Abby is returning to her lab and is packing up her belongings when she notices Sherice in the Menagerie's observation deck. Curious, she stealthily approaches the door and tries to hear what Sherice is saying. She hears Sherice relaying information to an unknown caller, who then orders her to continue her role until the time comes, which she obediently accepts, before hanging up. Sherice then walks over the the viewing port, and as she watches the creatures settle back into their enclosures, she mumbles that it won't be long before the A.R.C will fall (which Abby is unable to hear) and silently chuckling to herself. Horrified, Abby quickly texts Connor and Matt of what she heard before sneaking away from the door.

Cancelled Story Idea[]

Originally, the episode was planned to focus on the team having to choose whether or not they should save Claudia or search for the missing children after the former was pushed through an anomaly leading to the Future. However, this was changed due to a combination of budget restraints and series producer Tim Haines' dissatisfaction with the general plot and character growth of the team members.

Trivia[]

  • This, is by far, the longest Primeval episode to date.
  • Due to the clothes the members of the A.R.C team are wearing and Lester's office window still damaged, it's likely that this episode is set only a few hours after Episode 8.10.
  • This episode confirms that Evan and Dylan are in a relationship.
